(BLOOMFIELD) - The Town of Bloomfield is looking into options to fix the storm drain on South Jefferson Street.

The Greene County Daily World reports, Donnie Lawless, with the Street Department, reported to the Bloomfield Town Council the joints in the storm drain are starting to separate, and soil is seeping into the pipe.

He noted the area around the pipe is sinking on South Jefferson Street.

Lawless says 15 joints in the line, and a preliminary quote showed it would cost about $4,200 per joint to reseal the joints using a camera. The other option would be to dig up the 300-feet long 24-inch pipe and replace it, but he said this would come at a steep cost.
