White River Valley School Board Looking For Local Bids For Building

Last updated on Thursday, July 21, 2016

(SWITZ CITY) - The White River Valley School Board is looking for local bids for the construction of the WRV High School track building.

The building was lost in a fire on May 12.

WRV Superintendent Bob Hacker says the new structure will be a multipurpose facility.

Officials say the building will be 48 feet by 96 feet and 16 feet tall. It will have a couple of rolled up garage doors and will be insulated. There will be no electricity or lights.

The board received a total of $67,000 from insurance for the old building.

Board members say the current bid are not from the WRV area and would like to see someone locally bid on the project.
