(SPRINGVILLE) - Two people were injured after the SUV they were in flipped three time in a crash on State Road 54 Sunday at 11:43 a.m.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 58-year-old Leslie Smith and 58-year-old J.D. Smith, both of Bloomfield, complained of neck pain. Leslie was taken by ambulance to IU Bedford Hospital for treatment. J.D. was treated at the scene.

According to police, Smith was driving east on State Road 54 near Reuter Lane in his 2006 Subaru Tribeca. Police say when he entered a curve his vehicle started to hydroplane because of the wet conditions. The SUV ran off the road and into an embankment, then flipped three times before resting on its top.

Both J.D. and his passenger Leslie were wearing seat belts.
