Two Injured In Accident At Ind. 37 And Wesley Chapel Road

(MITCHELL) - Two people were injured after a two-vehicle accident at Ind. 37 and Wesley Chapel Road Wednesday afternoon.

Lawrence County Police, Marion Volunteer Fire Department and a Seals ambulance responded to the crash at 1:11 p.m.

According to police, 64-year-old Timothy Hallam of Mitchell, was traveling eastbound on Wesley Chapel Road and had stopped his 2006 Scion at the intersection of Ind. 37 but didn't see the 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer approaching and collided into the side of the vehicle.

The collision pushed the TrailBlazer off the side of the road and over an embankment. The driver, 43-year-old Vonda Russell of Mitchell, was not injured.

Hallam suffered contusions to his knee and lower foot. His passenger 67-year-old Linda Hallam of Mitchell suffered a possible fracture or dislocation to her elbow or lower arm.
