Last updated on Monday, July 25, 2016

(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured, one seriously, after the driver lost control and the vehicle struck a tree.

According to a Lawrence County police report, 22-year-old Jordan Endris told police that she was traveling on Tunnelton Road near Indian Trails Ridge Road when she lost control of her 2004 Buick Le Sabre on the water covered road.

The car went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Police say the road was wet, but there was no standing water on the roadway.

Endris complained of face pain. Her passenger, 23-year-old Jonah Kirkman, suffered fractures to his face and was flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.

Police believe Endris had been drinking and a blood-alcohol test was given. Those results are pending.
