Mona Gould Appointed To Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association Board Of Directors

(BEDFORD) - Mona Gould has been appointed to represent Credit Unions, as well as Southern Indiana, as a member of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association (IMBA) Board of Directors for 2016-2018.

Gould has been an active advocate of this association since 2003, when she first became involved in mortgage lending as a mortgage underwriter. She has also served as treasurer for the Southern Chapter of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association (SCIMBA) for two years.

In existence since March of 1958, the IMBA is the voice of the mortgage banking industry in Indiana. Although closely affiliated with, and a member of, the national MBA, the state association works on an independent basis to improve and educate lenders in Indiana. IMBA's mission statement includes providing services, support, and information to its members, and to promote sound and ethical business practices consistent with industry standards.

Gould started working in banking in 1977. She become involved in real estate in 2001 when she became a Realtor. She went back to banking in 2003, focusing on real estate in Mortgage lending. She worked at Stone City Bank from 2003-2007 as a Mortgage Underwriter, and joined Hoosier Hills Credit Union in March 2007 as a Mortgage Loan Officer. In December of 2009, she was promoted to Mortgage Production Manager.

"I have had many roles in my almost 40 years of banking, and have a tremendous passion for mortgage lending," Gould commented. "I am honored to serve the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association in this role."
