(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing tonight to determine whether or not another funeral home will operate in Mitchell.
The Board will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall, to discuss granting a variance to operate a funeral home at 201 W. Warren St.
Currently, the property is owned by the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Robert Burton, along with J Davis Properties, are requesting the board to change the zoning classification of the property.
Justin Davis of J Davis Properties owns and operates Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans.
Anyone can speak in favor or against the granting of the variance. The comment time is limited to five minutes for each person.
