(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation Board of Directors awarded grants to twenty-one local agencies who submitted proposals for the 2016 Open Grant Cycle.

Funding for the annual grant application process was provided by the following endowment funds:

Dennis Turner chaired the LCCF Grants Committee this year. "A conduit of blessing," Turner said of the experience.

"This describes the Community Foundation as the flow-thru of aid to agencies that, in turn, bless so many in our community who have real need.  This year's grant committee spent hours reviewing very worthy applications and did an outstanding job making recommendations to the LCCF Board.   It was a joy to work with the committee." Turner added. "We invite the community to share in the joy of the work of the LCCF. The Community Foundation works hard to be a responsible and responsive steward: an enduring conduit of blessing."
