Indiana State Police Investigating Death Of Infant

(CARLISLE) - Indiana State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating a death of a 3 ½ month old male infant.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. this afternoon, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call reported a dead male infant in a home at 4451 S. County Rd 100 East in Carlisle.

Deputies arrived at the scene and confirmed the baby was dead.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Department then requested assistance from the Indiana State Police. Interviews are being conducted at this time to determine what happened.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

No other information will be released at this time.

Assisting at the scene were the Sullivan County Sheriff's department and Sullivan County Child Protective Services.
