Four People Injured In Head-On Collision In Salem

(SALEM) - A head-on collision Tuesday morning on East New Philadelphia Road left one driver trapped in his vehicle.

According to a Washington County Police report, 36-year-old Kevin Wynn of Salem, who was driving a 2002 Ford Focus, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a GMC Sierra truck driven by 44-year-old Veronica Kellye of Salem.

Kelley and her two passengers were taken to St. Vincent-Salem Hospital with minor injuries.

Wynn had to be freed from the wreckage. He suffered a compound leg fracture and head injuries and was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.

Assisting at the scene: Salem Fire Department, Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance Service.
