Fire Damages Bloomington Home

(BLOOMINGTON) - A fire Saturday night damaged a home in the 700 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

According to Bloomington Fire Department Stg. Brandon Hudson, no one was home when the fire started.

When firefighters arrived When crews arrived heavy black smoke could be seen coming out of the attic eaves on the north and south sides.

Firefighters working in shifts were able to contain the fire to the attic area, but there was water damage to sections of the second floor of the home.

Hudson says the cause of the fire is still under investigated.
