Driver Arrested For DUI And Possession Of Meth After Discarding Cigarette From Vehicle

(PIKE CO.) - A Bedford man and a Freedom woman were arrested after Indiana State Police found meth in their vehicle.

Early Thursday morning, Indiana State Police stopped a Chevrolet S-10 on I-69 in Pike County driven by 47-year-old John Fish of Bedford after the trooper witnessed him throw a burning cigarette out the window.

While talking to Fish and his passenger 34-year-old Talia Blake of Freedom the trooper noticed signs of impairment.

After further investigation the trooper determined Fish was under the influence of meth. During a search of the vehicle police found meth inside the truck.

Both Fish and Blake were arrested on a charge of possession of meth. Fish was also charged with driving while intoxicated. Both were taken to the Pike County Jail.
