The group will host one of the state's 2016 Active Living Workshops, a program through Health by Design and the Indiana State Department of Health's Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity.

The workshop is designed to share best practices to help create active living communities through strategic planning, policies, programs and projects.

The workshop will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday at the hospital, located in Linton.

After the workshop, stakeholders will receive a summary report with best-practices resources, technical assistance and guidance on implementing the goals outlined in the plan they create. Each Active Living Workshop is valued at $6,500 and is provided at no cost to selected communities.
