Bedford Man Arrested After Injuring Two, Threatening Them With Knife

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly injured two people and then held them against their will while threatening them with a knife.

Lawrence County Police arrested 35-year-old Bradley Barger of Bedford on Monday on warrants for for domestic battery, battery resulting in bodily, criminal confinement, escape and strangulation and another outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on a July 2015 on a domestic violence case that was scheduled the same day as this attack. He is being held without bond.

According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, on April 5, the Lawrence County Police Department received a call from a frantic woman who asked for help at a home on Battleground Lane.

When officers arrived, the woman reported that she had been injured by Barger and that he also attacked another man in the home.

The woman claims that Barger choked her and struck her in the head, which caused her to become dizzy and lose hearing.

The other man in the home told police Barger punched and shoved him causing him to injured his arm and shoulder.

Both victims told police Barger held them inside the home with a knife refusing to let them leave.
