(BICKNELL) - Bicknell Police arrested a Washington man Wednesday following an accident in the 500 block of Mary Street.
According to a police report, 41-year-old Jason Wingler struck a fire hydrant with his vehicle and fled the scene. Police stopped Wingler's vehicle about three blocks away, on West Eighth Street.
Police say Wingler was intoxicated.
He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a an accident and driving while his driver's license was suspended and was taken to the Knox County and is being held on a $4,000 bond.
