(ELNORA) - The Wagler Diesel Competition is returning to the Daviess County Fairgrounds in Elnora this weekend.

"We've changed things up a little from last year," said Jeremy Wagler, who organizes the event with his wife, Jessica, adding that five classes in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Points Series trucks and tractors will be competing over the two-day event.

There will be five classes competing include super stock diesel trucks, pro stock diesel trucks, limited pro diesel trucks, limited pro stock tractors and hot farm tractors.

The Lucas Oil Series Pro Pulling events will be at 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, with the gates opening at noon.

Vendor row will feature dozens of businesses with items related to the diesel industry and there will be 10 food vendors and live music. Corey Cox will play from 9 p.m. until Midnight Friday and Saturday will feature Haywire at 4 p.m. and Levi Riggs at 9 p.m.

Some of those things to see include the open pit area where the public can get up close and personal with the drivers in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, something that sets the Wagler Diesel Competition apart from others.

"People can go in the pit, talk with the drivers and see what's going on," Wagler added. "Throughout the weekend, several of the professional drivers will sign autographs and have their trucks and tractors on display."

Those with diesel-powered vehicles are also encouraged to participate in the Show 'N Shine and Dyno events scheduled for 1 p.m. each day.

The winner of the Dyno contest will take home $5,000.

The garden tractor pull is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday, and those who purchase an event t-shirt will have a chance to win one of several door prizes with a combined value of more than $10,000. Prizes include Yeti Coolers, tool boxes, Go Pros, gift cards, lights and more.

Tickets for the show, which can be purchased online through Eventbrite until Thursday for $25 per day or $40 for the weekend per person. Children under 10 are admitted free.
