(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at East Lake Drive and U.S. 50 East Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, the accident happened just after 5 p.m.
Police say 46-year-old Shelley Brooking was traveling west on U.S. 50 and approaching East Lake Drive. At the same time 29-year-old T. L. Herr was traveling east on U.S. 50 in the left turn lane at East Lake Drive.
Brooking told police she remembered turning from Tunnelton Road onto U.S. 50 and the next thing she knew she collided with another vehicle.
Herr told police she was traveling east on U.S. 50 in the left turn lane and was waiting on traffic to clear before turning onto East Lake Drive. She then saw Brooking's 2014 Chevrolet Malibu traveling west, head-on in her lane.
Herr told police she honked her horn several times to get the driver's attention, but Brooking's car collided with her 2006 Pontiac Torrent.
Herr complained of lower arm and elbow pain. Brooking complained of shoulder and upper arm pain.
