(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham plans to install LED lamps at the jail.
Light-emitted diodes offer a lifespan and electrical efficiency several times greater than incandescent lamps and significantly more efficient than fluorescent lamps.
Branham noted Duke Energy is offering cost incentives to switch to an LED system.
