(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence School Board voted to accept Superintendent Gary Conner’s request to look for a firm to conduct a facilities study.
The study has not been approved yet. Conner will submit the cost at a later board meeting and then the board will decide if they want to move forward with the study.
The Times Mail reports that Conner requested the study after the recent enrollment decline over the past several year which means a decrease in state funds.
Conner wants the board and administration to look at ways to optimize resources to ensure the school system continues to promote excellence, opportunities and academic achievement.
