Last updated on Tuesday, June 7, 2016

(SPRINGVILLE) - A Reelsville woman was injured after her vehicle left the roadway, ran over the corner of a porched and crashed into parked vehicle.

According to a Lawrence County police report, 22-year-old Melodie William, complained of head pain after the head struck the windshield, was treated at the scene by an Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital ambulance crew.

Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.

According to police, the accident happened at 12:43 a.m. Saturday on State Road 54 West about 1,120 feet west of Lilly Lane.

Police say Williams was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier east on State Road 54 when she looked down to check her GPS while entering a curve. When she looked back up the car had went off the right side of the road, down a grassy embankment striking a stone wall next to a home.

The vehicle then traveled over the corner of the front porch of a home owned by Mike Embree, damaging the wooden pillars.

William's car then struck a 2005 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, which spun around and struck a 2004 Ford Explorer and a 1999 Ford F-150 in the driveway next to the residence.

A lawnmower also was damaged in the accident.
