Last updated on Friday, June 17, 2016

(BLOOMINGTON) - Practice smart energy usage at your home and help the Monroe County Energy Challenge in its efforts to save energy, save money, and win $5 million for the community.

Monroe County is one of 50 communities across the nation competing to win the Georgetown University Energy Prize by reducing residential, municipal, and K-12 electricity and natural gas consumption.

This summer, the Monroe County Energy Challenge will be installing attic insulation at low-cost or no-cost to Monroe County homeowners and landlords. Proper attic insulation will save hundreds of dollars each year in reduced heating and cooling costs, as well keeping home occupants comfortable.

Priority for free or low-cost attic insulations will be given to low-income households. Space is limited so contact us today to reserve your spot. Call us at (812) 349-3558 or email us at mocoenergychallenge@gmail.com to take advantage of this money- and energy-saving offer.
