(INDIANAPOLIS) - Congratulations Lawrence County Deputy Caleb Merriman, not only for graduating, but for finishing number 1 in academics at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Merriman is one of 23 new graduates from 15 departments in southern Indiana to join the law enforcement community.
Friday afternoon, nearly two dozen officers graduated from the academy.
They have all recently finished an intensive 17-week training program and were recognized Friday for their achievements.
Officers graduating came from as far away as Jeffersonville and Lawrence County, Indiana.
