HHCU For A CURE Glow Run Raises More Than $4,000

(BEDFORD) - The inaugural HHCU for a CURE Glow Run sponsored by Hoosier Hills Credit Union and 1340 AM WBIW was a huge success.

More than 140 participants took part in the event. Participants came early to check out the vendors, play games and have their faces painted with glow in the dark paint to complement their glow attire.

Runners and walkers started their 3.1 mile route at Hoosier Hills Credit Union's Bedford Service Center and raced their way down John Williams Boulevard, taking advantage of the city's beautiful new street After the race concluded, participants enjoyed the prize drawings and dance-offs, with prizes ranging from local gym memberships to $50 VISA gift cards.

Hoosier Hills congratulates the top three finishers: Sean Fleenor with a time of 19:31, Johnte Potts 21:52, and Logan Quaas 24:01. All three received trophies for their outstanding times and placements.

HHCU started their Relay for Life team, HHCU for a CURE, 5 years ago in honor of co-workers lost to cancer, Genny Wever and James Daugherty. This was the first public fundraiser hosted by the HHCU team, which is happy to report the Glow Run raised over $4,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

HHCU would like to thank the participants who helped us exceed our fundraising goal, as well as the City of Bedford Police Department; WBIW/WQRK/WPHZ, who helped to make this event such a great success.
