(BEDFORD) - Brenda Harrison, owner of Lighthouse Christian Books & Gifts on State Road 37 between Bedford and Mitchell, will host a Gospel Garden Tour at her home on Saturday.
The tour will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free, but those interested are asked to sign up at the bookstore or call for directions. Highlights of the tour include a koi pond with waterfalls, a half sunken fire pit, limestone hardscapes and chainsaw carvings of Jesus created by Paul Moon of Marengo.
The yard is a little less than three acres. Many of the features are hidden by the natural contours of the yard.
Harrison says as she worked on the yard, she would listen to the Bible on tape and was amazed at the number of passages in the Bible that refer to gardening and harvesting.
