Farm Credit Joining Local 4-H To Collect Food For Food Banks

(UNDATED) - Farm Credit Mid-America, an agricultural lending cooperative serving farmers, rural residents and agribusinesses throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee has joined the 4-H programs in Clay, Daviess, Greene, Lawrence, Morgan and Owen counties as they participate in the Farmer Care Food Drive.

Each county has joined with a local food bank and will be collecting canned food items and donations for their food bank through July 25. The county collecting the most for their food bank will be awarded $500 from Farm Credit Mid-America to utilized for their 4-H program.

Can goods and cash donations will be collected during county fairs or may be dropped off at the Farm Credit Mid-American offices located in Washington, Sullivan and Bloomington.

"The mission of the 4-H program in Indiana fits perfectly into Farm Credit's annual corporate community giving program," says Luke Kelly with Farm Credit. "Supporting our communities is one of our top priorities and we are proud to support our local 4-H programs with this food drive."
