Last updated on Wednesday, June 8, 2016

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington teen died Tuesday after a crash near the intersection of South Harmony and West May Roads.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's report, officers were sent to the crash and found the driver, 19-year-old Jordan Sherfield, laying in the road and being treated by other emergency personnel.

Police say markings in the road told officers Sherfield lost control of the vehicle which rolled at least one time before coming landing on all four tires.

Police say Sherfield , who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle.

He was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
