Bloomington Police Investigating Indecent Exposure Cases

Last updated on Wednesday, June 15, 2016

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Police Department is actively investigating a number of cases involving indecent exposure on the north east side of Bloomington.

A number of female victims have reported similar incidents over the last two weeks.

There have been six incidents that have occurred primarily in an area north of 11th Street, south of 16th Street, east of Walnut Street, and west of Dunn Street. The incidents have occurred primarily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The suspect has been described as a white male 5'10" to 6' tall, medium build, with light brown hair. Police say the man has been watching and/or following females while masturbating.

"We recommend that pedestrians in the area pay attention to their surroundings and immediately contact the police department by calling 911 if they notice anything or anyone suspicious," Captain Steven Kellams wrote in a press release.

The Bloomington Police Department has increased patrols in the area.

Detectives have followed up on a number of investigatory leads and also created a composite of the possible suspect in these cases.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477.
