(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man was injured Friday morning after he flipped his Honda motorcycle on U.S. 50 East.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 73-year-old Finley Russel was traveling east at a high-rate of speed and passed a semi on U.S. 50 East when he lost control of the motorcycle in a curve.
The motorcycle went off the south side of the highway, struck an embankment and flipped several times, throwing Russel from the bike.
Russel who was not wearing a helmet was going in and out of consciousness. He was flown from the scene by a Stat Flight medical helicopter and taken to U of L Hospital for treatment.
