Bloomington Fire Department Puts Out Fire At Bender Lumber

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bender Lumber in the 600 block of West 11th Street in Bloomington will be closed for about a week to repair damages caused by a fire.

The Bloomington Fire Department was called to the business at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived smoke was coming from the roof area of the building, but there were no flames.

Three employees escaped the building unharmed.

Firefighters spent about an hour at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
