Bedford Woman Injured In Head-On Collision

(OOLITIC) - A Bedford woman was injured in a head-on collision at the intersection of Ind. 37 and Main Street in Oolitic on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 53-year-old Randy Turner of Bedford had turned onto Main Street from Ind. 37 and either looked down or fell asleep causing his 1998 Mercury Mountaineer to cross the centerline and strike a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup head-on.

The driver of the pickup, 58-year-old Marsha Gardner of Bedford, complained of head and neck pain.

Turner was not injured during the incident.

Assisting at the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance and Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department.
