(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured Sunday after he swerved to miss an oncoming vehicle and crashed into a wooded area on Ramsey Ridge Road.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers responded to the crash at 4:40 p.m.

21-year-old Kyle Potter of Bedford told police he was traveling northwest on Ramsey Ridge Road when a newer Ford F-250 was in his lane of travel and he swerved his 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis to miss colliding with the truck. His car ran off the road and traveled about 100 feet in a brushy, wooded area.

Potter complained of back pain and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
