2016 Orleans Summer Concert In The Park Series Kicks Off Saturday Night

(ORLEANS) - Saturday nights are heating up in downtown Orleans as The Orleans Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Orange County REMC announce the 2016 Summer Concert in the Park Series.

The popular event returns Saturday, June 18 in historic Congress Square (downtown town square) with a performance by the musical group "No Xpectations."

The No Xpectations Band is a Lawrence County musical group that has been playing together since 2010. The band's music consists of a mix of Classic Hits and Classic Rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (from The Beatles to Mellencamp) along with a little bit of Classic Country.

The band members include David Cook, guitar, vocals; Mike Pritchett, bass guitar, guitar, vocals; Tim Root, lead guitar, vocals and Eddie Crabb, drums.

The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. (local time) in the southwest corner of the park.

The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets, as seating is limited.

Concerts are held outdoors and may be slightly delayed due to severe weather or moved to nearby Orleans Christian Church's Unity Hall.
