Woman Injured After Losing Control Of Vehicle On Felknor Road

(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was injured after she vehicle ran off the road in a curve on Felknor Road Friday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 35-year-old Betty Stevens of Mitchell suffered bruises to her chest and was taken to a local hospital by her boyfriend. She was wearing a seat belt during the incident.

Police say Stevens was traveling east on Felknor Road when she lost control of 1997 GMC Sonoma when she entered a curve. Stevens told police she was unfamiliar with the road. The vehicle went off the road, traveled into a driveway and struck a tree.

There was damage to the landscape of the home at 2278 Felknor Road.

Assisting at the scene was a Seals ambulance crew, Bedford Fire Department extrication and Marion Volunteer Fire Department.
