Sellersburg Troopers Arrest Five On Drug Related Charges

(SOUTHERN IND.) - Since last Thursday, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested five people on drug related charges after traffic stops and other investigations.

In one stop, that occurred on Thursday, at South Green Mill Road near US 150 in Hardinsburg, K-9 "Riggs" alerted on a vehicle being driven by, 46-year-old Franklin Banks, from Dubois. After a search of the vehicle, Banks, was arrested and incarcerated at the Washington County Jail on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.

On Friday evening, troopers were serving an arrest warrant on 53-year-old Wade Roberts from Henryville. During the arrest meth and marijuana were found. Roberts was charged with possession of meth and possession of marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Clark County Jail.

On Saturday evening, on Interstate 64 in Floyd County, a traffic stop was made on a white Dodge Charger. During the stop a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in troopers locating more than three pounds of marijuana. The driver, 23-year-old Jasmine N. Wood, from Evansville, and her passengers, 20-year-old Arthur Gary Ray Carter and 28-year-old Dearrius Lavar Miller, both of Evansville, were arrested and incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail on the charges of dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana.
