(WORTHINGTON) - A Bloomfield man was arrested after fleeing from police and crashing his vehicle into the White River.
Worthington Police attempted to stop Timothy Sewell for a traffic violation at 5:45 p.m. when he failed to stop at a four-way intersection on Jefferson Street in Worthington.
But instead of stopping Sewell fled from police onto Highway 157 South.
From there, Sewell continued to the river access just outside town limits, where he drove the vehicle into the White River.
The officers at the scene were able to take Sewell into custody without incident, and charges are pending.
