Last updated on Monday, May 23, 2016

(BEDFORD) - An Orleans man was injured after he dozed off behind the wheel Saturday at 7:31 a.m.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 23-year-old Dakota Hackney was traveling northbound on Ind. 37 when he dozed off and woke to find his 2007 General Motors Sierra pickup had traveled off the east side of the road and into a ditch.

The vehicle continued traveling in the ditch until it hit a driveway, went airborne and landed sideways on the other side of the driveway. The truck then rolled four times throwing Hackney, who was not wearing a seatbelt, out of the truck. The truck then landed on its top.

Hackney complained of chest pain following the incident.
