Huron Hosting Memorial Day Festival

(HURON) - The Huron Memorial Day Festival is making a comeback.

Festivities will kick off with town-wide yard sales set for May 27-28.

Other activities will take place on the town's main street starting at 9 a.m. on May 30.

Events include a queen and little miss contest, corn hole tournament, food, bands, drawings, cakewalk, kids' games, baby contest, flea market, dog training show and a tractor show.

There will be a parade at 2 p.m. at the old Huron school.

Festival organizers are Carla Robinson Mills, chairwoman; Jo Besser, treasurer; and event organizers, Jack Triplett, parade; Matthew White, corn hole tournament; and Marlene Sanders and Missy Sears, queen and little miss and baby contests.

Organizers are seeking donations from businesses and groups. To donate, contact Mills (812) 583-2987 or Besser at (812) 675-1135.
