(BEDFORD) - Bedford Fire Department firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire at 1624 Second St.
According to BFD Capt. John Huges, the single-story home is owned by Thomas and Phyllis Eshbach. They were not home when the fire started in the kitchen area Saturday morning.
Firefighters arrived around 11:40 a.m. to find smoke coming from the west side and back of the house.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
