(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested six juveniles after they broke into an abandoned home in the 2100 block of East Wimbleton Lane early Sunday morning.
Officer went to the home at 3:36 a.m. after reports of multiple individuals entering the house.
When officers arrived they saw movement in a window. A K-9 officer asked twice for the suspects to exit the home. After no response, officers released the dog, which quickly apprehended a 16-year-old male, causing an injury to the teen's right hand.
Five other teens were found inside - another 16-year-old male, two 16-year-old females and two 15-year-old females.
According to police records, all six were referred to juvenile probation on charges of residential entry, resisting law enforcement and a curfew violation for being in a public place between 1 and 5 a.m.
