Bloomington Mayor Announces Staffing Update

(BLOOMINGTON) - Mayor John Hamilton announced two more staff positions have been filled and efforts to fill two other positions have begun.

Former Parks and Recreation Director Mick Renneisen has been serving as deputy mayor since the beginning of the Hamilton administration in an interim capacity. He will continue as deputy mayor.

"I'm confident Mick's dedication, institutional knowledge and good judgement will be a valuable asset to the City and this administration," said Hamilton.

Also in the Office of the Mayor, Hamilton announced Mary Catherine Carmichael as communications director. Hamilton commented, "Mary Catherine's deep roots in this community and media knowledge assure her great value to the organization".

Renneisen's annual salary is $98,700. Carmichael's annual salary is $70,000.

The Parks and Recreation Director and Economic and Sustainable Development Director positions will be national searches.
