(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man is facing a charge of child solicitation after his ex-girlfriend found he had conversations with a teenaged girl about meeting to have sex on his social media.
Police arrested 21-year-old David Coletto Tuesday on a felony charge of child solicitation.
Coletto's ex-girlfriend called police after she found the messages on Coletto's Instagram account through her phone and found the conversations between Coletto and the 14-year-old girl were sexual in nature.
According to police Coletto and the girl's first encountered was online on May 16. The two planned to meet today.
Coletto told police he knew the girl was only 14 and he had "made a terrible mistake."
