(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a warrant alleging he injuring a woman during a domestic fight in April.

Police arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey A. Bundy of Bedford on charges of strangulation, intimidation, domestic battery and interference with the reporting of a crime.

According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, Bedford police were called to the 2600 block of H Street on April 26 after a report of a domestic dispute.

When they arrived they found the woman walking outside. She told police Bundy had beat her up and then ran off toward Sunny Acres Drive.

The woman had been living with Bundy and told police he had a meth problem.

The woman said while the two were inside, Bundy had gotten upset and began throwing things at her. He then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and slammed her face into the bed several times.

The two ended up outside of the residence where Bundy grabbed her and forced her to the ground. He then allegedly put his hand over her mouth and nose making it difficult for her to breathe.

The woman told police he then put his hands around her neck and choked her saying he was going to "kill her."

Bundy then broke the woman's cell phone so she couldn't call police. He then went back into the home, grabbed a knife and cut his wrists.

Bundy then told the woman that if she called police he would tell them she cut him.
