Last updated on Wednesday, May 25, 2016

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly got into a fight with his ex-girlfriend and bloodied her nose.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers went to a home in the 2040 block of 24th Street and arrested 20-year-old Taylor Dalton of Bedford on charges of domestic battery, criminal confinement, interfering with reporting a crime, obstruction from justice

Dalton was arrested after a woman came to the police station at the urging of a friend.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday the woman says she and Dalton got into an argument and he allegedly took her keys and cell phone and wouldn't let her call police or leave the home.

He then allegedly pushed her into a door, breaking it. He then head-butted her, causing her nose to bleed.

Dalton had been staying with the woman because he told her he had no place to stay.

Around 8 a.m. Dalton fell asleep and the woman was able to leave the home. Later around 2 p.m. the woman went to the police station and filed charges.
