(SEYMOUR) - All three of the people arrested in the robbery and slaying of a Seymour man in April 2015 have now been sentenced to prison.

22-year-old Jessica L. Jarrell of North Vernon recently received a 20-year-prison term from Jackson Circuit Judge Richard W. Poynter after she agreed to plead guilty to robbery resulting in serious bodily injury in connection with the death of 42-year-old Gilbert Engle.

26-year-old Andrea M. Hollin, also of North Vernon, received a nine-year prison term from Poynter after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery in the incident that led to Engle's death.

Judge Poynter sentenced 33-year-old Daniel Combs to 16 years in prison for a Level 3 felony conviction on a possession of meth charge in connection to the incident that led to the death of Engle.Combs was ordered to spend four additional years in prison for a second conviction on a Level 5 felony charge of assisting a criminal.
The sentences will be served consecutively, and state law requires Combs to spend at least 15 years in prison before becoming eligible for release.

Seymour Police Chief Bill Abbott says investigators believe Combs shot and killed Engle during an incident at Engle's second-floor apartment in the 200 block of North Chestnut Street after a night of using heroin and other drugs.
Engle's body was found by his roommate.
