Last updated on Thursday, April 7, 2016

(BEDFORD) - A Williams man is facing a charge of possession of heroin after a jailer found a bottle containing heroin in his sock.

Bedford Police arrested 24-year-old Justin Hoskins early this morning when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant in Jennings County.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, around 3:45 a.m. an officer noticed a vehicle pulled into a parking space at the shelter on Bell Back Road near Fifth Street and went to investigate.

Police found Hoskins and a woman inside the vehicle.

After running a check for warrants, the officer discovered Hoskins was wanted on a warrant for driving while his driver's license was suspended with a prior conviction.

Police arrested Hoskins. While he was being booked into the Lawrence County Jail a jailer discovered Hoskins had a bottle which contained a tar-like substance hidden in his socks. Parsley says the substance tested positive for heroin.
