(BEDFORD) - State Senator Brent Steele announced today his endorsement of Chris May for State Representative in House District 65.

"My endorsement of Chris May for State Representative was based on two main reasons," said Senator Brent Steele. "Having held the very seat he is running for I know just how much of our legislation revolves around what we do for counties. I watched other legislators who had to walk the walk of being a Commissioner or Council person. They are well grounded on county finance and responsibilities and can help teach the other legislators who have never served at the county level the intricacies of county level government."

"Secondly he is a conservative, both in the fiscal realm and social," Senator Steele continued. "I don't think I will be writing letters to him to tell him how I feel on a subject--I already know how he will vote. He understands his first responsibility is to the people not the hallway at the Statehouse."

"I am honored to have Senator Steele's support, said Chris May. It means a lot to have the confidence of someone who has served our community so well throughout the past twenty years in the Statehouse. I truly appreciate the Senators support and guidance."
