(SELLERSBURG) - Two troopers from the Sellersburg District were honored this past Friday at an awards ceremony at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis.
Trooper James Ferguson was awarded the 2015 Sellersburg District Trooper of the Year. This award was presented to Trooper Ferguson for outstanding enforcement efforts in the areas of traffic and criminal enforcement. He also excelled in case and crash investigations, public information programs and community service. He exemplifies the professionalism and integrity expected of an Indiana State Trooper.
The O.W.I. Award was presented to Trooper Patrick Stinson for his efforts in removing impaired and intoxicated motorists from Indiana's roadways. Trooper Stinson was awarded for his efforts of arresting 54 impaired drivers in 2015.
