Police Arrest Man Hiding In Barn

Last updated on Thursday, April 28, 2016

(BONO) - A Bedford man was arrested after he called police saying someone was attempting to kill him.

According to Lawrence County Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, officers were called at 4:44 a.m. Wednesday by a man reporting he was hiding in a barn in the 280 block of Deer Run Road because people were trying to kill him.

Officers responded to the area and found 18-year-old Dominic Corrie of Bedford hiding in a barn on the property.

"While talking to Mr. Corrie officers noticed a clear baggie handing from his pants pocket, which contained meth," Chief Shoults says.

Corrie was arrested on a charge of possession of meth and taken to jail.

"The 911 calls concerning someone trying to kill him could not be substantiated," Shoults added.
