(BEDFORD) - At the next Bedford North Lawrence Community Schools board meeting, Transportation Director Darren Waggoner plans to seek board approval to extend current bus contracts by two years and then to make the subsequent contracts span a five-year period.
According to the Times-Mail, the contracts will also stipulate that a privately owned bus be a 2006 model or newer.
Waggoner has also ordered three new corporation-owned buses. Two of those buses should be delivered by the end of the school year while the third one, which will transport special education students, won't be available until October.
