(SEYMOUR) - Police continue to investigate the death of a man working for a contractor on Saturday at a rural Seymour company.
According to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred at a storage tank at Enterprise Products Partners LP in the 10000 block of East County Road 100N.
The man's name is not being released at this time pending notification of his family.
The man was treated at the scene for a medical condition before he passed away and was taken to Schneck Medical Center. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Seymour hospital.
Police say the man was not from Jackson County and was not an employee of Enterprise Products, which provides energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, crude oil and refined products, and petrochemicals.
Jackson County Coroner Roger Wheeler and Sheriff Mike Carothers also are involved in the investigation.
